Maple Pass Loop

This hike is on anyone’s list of essential hikes in the Pacific Northwest, and the numbers on the trail prove it. But like NY Times best seller list books, sometimes everyone reads them because they’re good. This trail might just be worth the elbowing your way through.

The trail essentially climbs up one side of a cirque over a pass, across some high country, and back down the other side of the cirque and back to the car. That sounds boring enough, but there is something amazing about this trail. zt’s not just the views, and it’s not just the scenery or the topography. There is something about being in North Cascades national Park. Everything is right.
